
Rick Limardo serves as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for MGM Resorts International with a focus on aligning the company’s business strategy to its advocacy priorities. In this capacity, he oversees federal, state, and local government affairs and supports BetMGM’s market-access expansion efforts across the country.
Mr. Limardo joined MGM after serving as Coalitions Director for the House Ways and Means Committee during the historic tax reform effort in 2017. In this role, he worked with outside groups, business stakeholders, policy leaders, and Members of Congress to build support for the Committee’s agenda including the landmark Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
Before joining the Ways and Means Committee, Mr. Limardo served four years at the National Association of Manufacturers as one of their chief government relations professionals in the House and Senate. Prior to this, he served as Chief of Staff to his hometown member, Congressman Jim Renacci (R-OH) a member of the House Ways and Means Committee where he was directly responsible for advancing the Congressman’s overall agenda in the areas of tax, trade and healthcare.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Limardo held roles at Roetzel and Andress, a multi-client lobbying and law firm. He started his career in Washington on Capitol Hill working for a senior appropriator, Congressman Ralph Regula (R-OH), where he held various positions including legislative director. Mr. Limardo received his bachelor’s degree from Miami University and his master’s degree from The United States Naval War College.
