The Youth Leadership New Braunfels class of 2024 has been unveiled, comprising a roster of 28 accomplished students. The latest cohort of Youth Leadership participants convened for their orientation during the past week.
This year's class marks the 27th assembly of high school sophomores and juniors to engage in the program, which has nurtured the growth of over 700 young trailblazers since its inception in 1997. The lineup encompasses students from Canyon High School, John Paul II, Canyon Lake High School, New Braunfels High School, and New Braunfels Christian Academy.
The fundamental goal of the Youth Leadership New Braunfels initiative is to equip students with advanced leadership techniques and heightened community awareness, enabling them to grasp current challenges, community reservoirs, prospects, and other influential factors that will shape the trajectory of their community's future. Commencing in October, the class will convene on a monthly basis for seven school-day sessions spanning a range of subjects, including leadership proficiencies, tourism, historical perspectives, artistic endeavors, governance, the legal system, healthcare, business growth, economic evolution, and education.
