The Faust Hotel, in New Braunfels,Texas, originally dubbed the "Traveler's Hotel", is slated to reopen in 2025 and return to its roots as the city’s central meeting place after a full property renovation.
"The Duettra family would like to announce that the long-awaited renovation project at The Faust Hotel has begun! This graceful beauty will be returning in early 2025, fully refreshed and renovated in an updated 1920s style. We will be preserving and enhancing the history and charm of this iconic property while elevating the amenities for our guests. The new Faust will have multiple food and beverage outlets, including a European-style brasserie serving sophisticated yet approachable fare. Our family cherishes the Faust as much as you do, and look forward to bringing her into the next century in style. We hope everyone will come and celebrate with us when we reopen our doors!" says owner, Andy Duenttra.
After serving New Braunfels for nearly 100 years, the downtown hotel will close its doors, returning to bring an elevated-style to match the new feel. The 58-room property will offer a modern design, inspired by its roots from the 1920s. A new full-service restaurant/bar, to be named Wilhelm und Werner, a separate speakeasy, and upscale hotel amenities are to be expected. The hotel's meeting and event space will be transformed to host social gatherings and group business. As the only hotel in downtown New Braunfels, The Faust Hotel is a popular location within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and retail shopping. Magnolia Patio, the hotel's outdoor bar and light bites space, will also close during the renovation.
Join The Faust Hotel one last time at Magnolia Patio from 2-10 p.m. on November 18th for a final party on the patio. The hotel will continue to be managed by Lark Hotels. The Faust Hotel team looks forward to welcoming guests and visitors to experience the exciting beginning of the hotel.
