The Braunfels Foundation Trust (BFT) is excited to announce Emily Hoffmann as its new director, effective January 2025. Founded in 1974, the BFT has played a vital role in supporting the New Braunfels community through its many initiatives, including scholarship programs, the Baron and Baronesses of the Trust, the Living Legends Award, and more.
“This hire is a tremendous opportunity to advance the mission of the Trust and to its partnership with the Chamber,” said Jonathan Packer, president and CEO. “Emily’s leadership will undoubtedly help us further our shared goals of fostering community growth and excellence.”
As director, Emily will oversee the planning and implementation of the Trust’s programs, events, and fundraising efforts. She brings a strong background in education and years of dedicated involvement with the BFT. Having volunteered on several key initiatives, she is well-versed in the organization’s values and vision.
“We are excited to welcome Emily as she takes on this role,” said Teresa Johnson, president of the BFT board of trustees. “Emily’s deep roots in the community and commitment to the Trust’s mission make her the perfect choice to lead us into the future. The Trust would not be what it is today without the strong leadership and solid foundation built over the years by Debbie Meek. We are deeply grateful for Debbie’s service and the lasting impact she has had on the Foundation. I’m confident Emily will continue to honor and build on that legacy.”
