Celebrate the Vibrant Tradition of Dia de los Muertos this Weekend

The Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, festival is just around the corner! This annual event, celebrated with vibrant colors, music, and a deep sense of tradition, will take place on Saturday, October 28th, from noon to 10:00 pm in the heart of New Braunfels.

BELK - CONJUNTO STAGE

The celebration kicks off at the BELK - Conjunto Stage on Seguin Avenue and Coll Street. The stage will come alive with the captivating rhythms of Mexican music, courtesy of DJ Rene P. Throughout the day, DJ Rene will keep the energy high as the following events unfold:

12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: The festival opens with a special performance by Carolina Cruz

12:30 PM - 1:00 PM: Announcements and recognition of the art contest winners and scholarship recipients

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Academy of Mexican Folklorico Dancers

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: DJ Dat

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Walk of Remembrance Procession led by Carolina Cruz and Mariachi Las Valquiras

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Aztec Dancers – Kalpulli Ayolopaktzin.

In the evening, DJ Jojo Herrera, the "Weekend Warrior" with Tejano Up Radio, will guide you through a fantastic lineup:

5:45 PM - 6:45 PM: Amigos

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Jamie DeAnda

8:30 PM - 10:00 PM: Sunny Sauceda

KIDS AREA

For our young festival-goers, the Kids Area, located on San Antonio Street near the Comal County Landa Annex, offers a day full of fun and creativity:
