Brandon was born in New Braunfels and raised in a house that has been in his family since 1852 in an area of town called Comal Town. He graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1992 and went to Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution in 1996.
After college, Brandon worked in Arkansas, Houston and Dallas over several years while working for Ryder Integrated Logistics. He came back to work with his father at the New Braunfels Smokehouse in November of 1998. Brandon’s father, Mike Dietert, has worked for NBSH since 1966. Brandon is currently the Manager of Operations and Technology.
Brandon has been married to Nicole since 2002 and has 2 boys, Tanner, 13, and Trevor, 11. He is a lover of animas, having 4 dogs, 4 cats, a tortoise, a llama, 3 alpacas and about 25 chickens. Brandon loves working on their 105-year-old Victorian house and taking care of his acreage in the country.
He is an active volunteer in the community and a member of many civic organizations. Brandon loves New Braunfels and hopes to never leave!
