Opening Two More Pediatric Clinics to San Antonio Area
Regardless of the abundant challenges that have marked 2020, Dr. Almouie and his dedicated staff of physicians, nurses, lab, and office personnel rose to each occasion ensuring that their pediatric clients and families were well cared for.
Dr. Almouie established Almouie Pediatrics to provide comprehensive and compassionate healthcare that supports children through every stage of their lives. In the last 20 years, he’s opened 16 locations throughout the south Texas region, with four clinics opening in 2020. Dr. Almouie said, “While we’ve definitely been impacted by COVID, we understand the importance of supporting our communities during these troubling times.”
Almouie Pediatrics acted fast to set up telehealth visits so patient care could continue when cities across the state shutdown. Even before COVID was an issue, Dr. Almouie was dedicated to limiting the risk of cross-contamination from infectious agents. Each Almouie Pediatric clinic has separate sick and well-child areas that have their own ventilation systems. This includes separate waiting rooms, bathrooms, triage stations, exam rooms, and separate scales and equipment. Safety has always been a priority.
Almouie Pediatrics is also one of the few pediatric clinics that offers a complete array of COVID testing, including antigen and antibody testing with results available in 15 minutes. “Parents need peace of mind knowing that their children are healthy and safe. We are happy to provide this peace of mind with the rapid COVID tests,” remarked Dr. Almouie.
In addition to caring for their patients, Almouie Pediatrics is fully engaged in the communities in which they are located. Here are a few ways in which they have supported their communities this year:
- Hosted blood drives and school vaccine clinics
- Hosted multiple free drive-by school supplies giveaways
- Held contests for laptops and HEB gift cards
Almouie Pediatrics also engages with their patients and the communities on their Facebook and Instagram social media sites where people can participate in contests, learn about new services, or ask questions.
